St. Michaelmas Day

Before the day is over, I must wish everyone Happy St. Michaelmas Day! What is St. Michaelmas Day?

Wikipedia:
Michaelmas, the feast of Saint Michael the Archangel (also the Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, the Feast of the Archangels, or the Feast of Saint Michael and All Angels) is a day in the Western Christian calendar which occurs on 29 September. Because it falls near the equinox, it is associated in the northern hemisphere with the beginning of autumn and the shortening of days. Michael is the greatest of all the archangels and is honored for defeating Lucifer in the war in heaven.[1]

St. Michaelmas Day is also mentioned in one of my favorite books: Pride and Prejudice.
Quote from the first page:
"Why, my Dear, you must know, Mrs Long says that Netherfield is taken by a young man of large fortune from the north of England; that he come down on Monday in a chaise and four to see the place, and he was so much delighted with it that he agreed with Mr. Morris immediately; that he is to take possession before MICHAELMAS, and some of his servants are to be in the house by the end of next week."

Note: I don't really celebrate holidays in honor of angels. This is my fun fact of the day, thanks to my friend Kristen Kopp! My main point of interest is that it is mentioned in Pride and Prejudice ;) So Happy Michaelmas Day, especially to all the Michaels in the world ;)
